As an Infectious Diseases Nurse Practitioner at Children's Mercy Kansas City, Diane brings decades of expertise in pediatric HIV care, global health systems, refugee healthcare, and innovative nursing practices in mission settings.
Her pioneering work spans continents, from establishing care protocols for the most vulnerable pediatric populations to training and mentoring the next generation of global health nurses. Her M3 session, "Nurses in Global Health — Innovative Practices to Ensure Helping Truly Helps," became the philosophical cornerstone of this entire initiative.
Diane's role ensures that every technological solution we develop is filtered through the lens of real clinical needs, cultural sensitivity, and the principle that aid must empower — never create dependency.
